Selfportrait
Just playing a little bit with the camera, I got some self-portrait. All of them were done in a single shot. It is not photoshop cloning. The only post-process that was done was for color adjustment and cropping; Lightroom was use for the post-processing. I just use a dark studio. 50 mm lens Long exposition 30 seconds, and Small aperture f11 or f22 And remote trigger fire the strobes 2, 3 or 4 times. I was just fun. Winter in studio
Around middle of December, I had the opportunity of work with two models, Jamie T and Kristin P from Lansing and Grand Blanc, MI respectively. One of the looks that we tried was related to Winter; we had fun, because the outfit was not really for winter as you could see on the following pictures. All were done using a 50 mm lens only. Full senior portrait done
Few weeks ago I started to set a senior portrait session. The senior is Bruno, class 2010. He is the oldest son of some friends on Ann Arbor. They wanted a studio session only. The general step that we went through were: Set the time for a the photo shooting Short interview before the shooting (20 min) to get good idea what we could shoot Very smooth shooting (1 hr 15 min approximately). Nifty Fifty Ann Arbor Downtown Exploration
A flickr friend, Charlie Naebeck, invited flickr member and friends to have a photo-walk on Ann Arbor Downtown. The basic idea was take pictures using only 50 mm lens and ambient light. That Friday (August 28th) was raining almost the whole day, then very few people came; actually we were only three. We were very lucky the rain stopped few minutes we started walking (~6:30 p.m.). Last weekend, I had the opportunity of participated on meet up of the Flickr group: Strobist A2/DT. It was in a warehouse on Detroit.
